SALMON
FISHING Beats of 3 or 4 rods are available on the Upper and Lower River Shin on weekly lets during the season (March-Sept). The Shin is a classic Highland river - full of character and with good runs of salmon and summer grilse. It belongs to the famous Kyle of Sutherland river system, which enters the sea on the east coast at Bonar Bridge and offers some of the best fishing in Scotland. Rods on two other rivers in this system, the Cassley and Carron, can also be arranged, plus on the Brora further up the east coast. Ghillies and salmon fishing tuition are available by prior arrangement. Photographs Left from top: Fishing the Upper Shin; 11lb salmon from Eleanor's Pool in July; A brace of July fish.
